“Perspectives from the Ideal City" - Exhibition by Peter Chen
Till 16 June 2012
The URA Centre, 1st Storey

Perspectives from the Ideal City features 16 panoramic prints by architect and artist Peter Chen, of favourite landmarks around Singapore like the former National Stadium, the National Library and Capitol Theatre. Minimalist and devoid of any colour or glamour, these prints show Singapore’s landmarks in different states of stasis or disappearance. They show how our urban landscape has evolved radically and how the city may often be in transit. We are encouraged to re-look at our own beliefs, what defines our common spaces and identity and how we redefine ourselves in this constantly changing landscape.
